Man oh man oh man do I miss that magical and historical area of NY. I'm jealous for sure. But what can we do we make our choices, however ironic they may be in retrospect.

I think it's been almost 15 years since we've crossed paths and while a large part of me wishes I had the continuity of neighborhood and community that you've enjoyed for that time, I've lived in probably 12 different cities, even Helsinki Finland for 2.5 months. I don't mean for it to seem like a flex or anything like that but at 45 years old now, perhaps better late than never, I'm hoping to find a place to call home.

Love reading your musings.

Which way is home leaning for you? New York will always welcome you back! Cool about Helsinki!

I like your list -- and I'm inspired to come up with one of my own!

It’s a fun exercise

Some great ideas, although being retired for decades, I have adopted many of these. But my old workday regime was also relaxed. Some would say I lacked the drive and ambition to reach for the top; some would say, reluctantly, they envied my style.

My weekly podcasts are from older books, copyright-free. Many were written with long descriptions, slow plot development, and a rhythmic and rich use of a wide vocabulary. Books that reward those with the niche hobby of reading.

Love the concept for the podcast! Re lack of “ambition” - never get trapped doing what does not make you happy.
